MARSHAL’S CABINET
The Marshal’s Cabinet provides organisational and protocol services for the Marshal as well as secretarial services involving, among other tasks, dealing with the requests for the honorary patronage of the Marshal or for joining Honorary Committees. The Cabinet’s role is also to organise public holiday celebrations, ceremonies and occasional events with participation of the Marshal.
The department is responsible for media relations, organises press conferences, creates a positive public image of the Marshal and develops the Office’s media and publicity policy. The Cabinet’s task is to inform the inhabitants of the Wielkopolska Region about the activities carried out by the Marshal, the Regional Board and the Marshal’s Office both in their own publications as well as by campaigns and information and promotion events.
The Marshal’s Cabinet liaises with NGOs and other institutions within the scope of public activities carried out by the Marshal. It is in charge of making arrangements for the official visits of government representatives and works together with diplomatic and consular officers. It coordinates cooperation of the Marshal with government and public administration, MPs, councillors, socio-political institutions, labour unions, poviat and commune self-government authorities, regional and national self-government organisations.
The Marshal’s Cabinet is also responsible for intermingling military veteran circles, coordinating their activities, liaising with social organisations and associations of military veterans and victims of repression. It closely cooperates with the Regional Council of Military Veterans and Victims of Repression.
