DEPARTMENT OF REGIONAL POLICY

The Department is responsible for preparing the developmental policy of the Wielkopolska Region in such a way that it ensures dynamic and consistent development for the Wielkopolska region. Its decisions are taken on the basis of the Wielkopolska Region’s development directions, which are prepared in the Department on the basis of assessing social and economic issues from quantitative and time perspectives, and these are valuable sources of information for the other Departments of the Office. One of the crucial tasks of this Department is coordination of the Wielkopolska Region’s developmental strategy plans, regional programmes projects and ensurance of active participation in preparation for implementation conditions.

The Department of Regional Policy participates in Wielkopolska Region Operational Programme 2007-2013 management. It is responsible for managing the whole Programme, although the emphasis is put on monitoring, evaluation, control, technical assistance, information, promotion and training.
