DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE

One of the key tasks of the Department of Education and Science is the preparation of budgets for the subordinated schools and other educational institutions, and control of their implementation.

The Department also prepares guidelines for the Wielkopolska Region educational institutions and plans teacher training, and is also obliged to develop and supervise repair works in the subordinated institutions.

It also cooperates with national and international educational institutions and NGOs. Such cooperation is aimed at developing the Wielkopolska region’s educational base and into creating developmental chances for children and teenagers learning in the Region.

The Department Of Education and Science creates and analyses databases of the Region’s educational institutions. On the basis of those databases, it prepares new educational programmes for the subordinated institutions and plans long-term educational development.

The Department consists of four Sections: Planning, Budget, Investment and Control; Organisation and Supervision of the Subordinated Institutions; Information, Promotion and Cooperation in the Scope of the Education and Science and the European Union Scholarship Programmes Section.
