DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH PROTECTION AND ADDICTION COUNTERMEASURE

The Department implements tasks in the Wielkopolska Region’s health care organisation. Its duties include initiating and coordinating activities on health, health education and preventing and fighting social diseases. The Department also fulfils tasks on preventive treatment, elimination of addiction problems and counteraction of violence. Those activities are directed mainly at teenagers and groups vulnerable to the social pathologies.

The Department also coordinates work on different health and care centres’ functioning and analyses the accessibility and quality of services in the region’s health care centres, and is also a place of graduate internships.
