DEPARTMENT OF GEODESY, CARTOGRAPHY AND ESTATE MANAGEMENT

The Department implements a number of tasks in geodesy and cartography, including Managing and making available to the public the Regional geodesy and cartography archives, ordering new topographical maps and, most importantly, controlling whether the other Departments, public institutions and private companies abide by the geodesy and cartography rules. The Department manages the resources of the Regional Fund for Geodesy and Cartography Resources Management to ensure the effective implementation of its works, and also controls the Wielkopolska Region Geodesy and Rural Areas Office and the Regional Inspectorate of Geodesy and Cartography Documentation in Poznań.

The Department also manages the resources of the regional Agricultural Land Protection Fund. This means preparing the Fund’s income and expenses plans; describing the rules for subsidy works on protection, land reclamation and improvement of agricultural lands; it also controls the implementation of land reclamation works, liquidation and the issuance of reductions from the Fund’s charge repayments.

The Department also carries out administrative works for subordinated institutions. Apart from legal custody in real estate management (e.g. leases, rent), it also purchases new ones when necessary, runs the tangible assets and sells unnecessary premises.
