Firstly - Partnership
The authorities of the Wielkopolska region cooperate with regions of many European countries – from Russia to Great Britain.
The carrying out of projects together with partners from the European Union and opening to the Balkans and the Eastern Europe – mainly Ukraine, Russia or Georgia, can lead to the strengthening of the position of Wielkopolska at the European level. Such directions of cooperation with foreign subjects is in accordance with the priorities of Polish foreign policy, as well as the policy of the European Union.
The main goals of this lasting cooperation and partnership are economic cooperation and development of the local labour market, conversion of rural areas and transport infrastructure, reinvigoration of environmental protection and water economy, science and education, culture, tourism, sport and youth exchange. The measurable effects of the region’s foreign cooperation are, among other things, the establishment of the Dairy Staff Training Centre (Centrum Szkolenia Kadr Mleczarskich) in Września co-funded from Nottinghamshire County funds, and the organisation of events promoting the economies of the two regions.

- Västernorrland County (Sweden)
